When to enroll in Medicare:
You can enroll in Medicare during the Initial Enrollment Period, which starts three months before you turn 65 and ends three months after the month you turn 65.
If you miss your Initial Enrollment Period of 6 months, you may be able to enroll during a Special Enrollment Period if you meet certain conditions, such as losing your employer-based coverage or moving to a new area. You also have the opportunity to enroll during the Annual Enrollment Period which is between October 15th - December 7th every year.
